The 6 candidates (originally 7 but the original #5 backed out of the competition)
quite fittingly posed with a horse since it is the year of the horse. Candidate #2 Maite
competed in the 2011 edition of the pageant.
This marks the 45th edition of the pageant with the inaugural contest back in 1970.
This year's theme is an adventure in the romantic countryside.
The pageant will have 4 segments:
1) Business attire (creations by talented young designer FENUA by Freddy)
2) Swimsuit
3) Free segment
4) Coronation in traditional Chinese dress
